If you couldn't tell (and you should), the left is the color scheme for colors for neon signs, or any other things you want to do with colored tubes. High voltage indicators, TV tubes, wavemeter tubes, lightning arrestors, they all use Neon. It found its way as an important application as an economical cryogenic refrigerant. It's refrigerating capacity per unit is 40 times more than liquid helium and requirements.
